Is there Prize Money in the Olympics?
Winning an Olympic medal is a huge achievement for an athlete including the footballers. Everyone wants to win a Olympic Gold, Silver, or Bronze. However, the IOC doesn’t provide any monetary prize to the winning athletes. For the first time, in the 2024 Paris Olympic, Gold medalist winners in the Track & Field, Boxing, and IBA will be rewarded with prize money by their respective sports governing authority. However, there will be once again no prize money for winning the Gold in Olympic football, just like the past. By the way, a footballer or the team can still get money for winning an Olympic medal if their country’s federation wants to reward them with incentives.
