What is the Record for Goals in the Ligue 1?
Among the French footballers, Bernard Lacombe holds the top spot and the overall 2nd spot. Lacombe is the other player with over 250 Ligue Un goals (255). He netted his goals for Lyon, Saint Etienne, and Bordeaux. Roger Courtois owns the record for scoring most goals for a single club in France. Among his 210 goals, he registered 209 for Sochaux. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe leads the race among the current generation of footballers with his 191 goals. Mbappe is also the highest-ever league goal scorer for PSG or Paris Saint Germain.
On the contrary, after Kylian’s departure from Real Madrid, Alexandre Lacazette became the top scorer among the league’s active players. In fact, the Lyon legend has 146 goals beside his name, all scored for a single club. Hassan Akesbi is the top-scoring African (173) in French Ligue Un history. Among players with over 150 goals, Josip Skoblar has the best goals-per-game ratio (0.87). His 151 goals came only in 174 games over 12 years for Marseille. And if you consider players with more than 100 goals, then Zlatan Ibrahimovic is superior to all in terms of GPG ratio. The Swedish netted on 113 occasions only in 122 matches and has a 0.93 ratio in the league over his 4 years career at PSG.
